It works!!

We finally got the motors turning. Last night after updating both the development computer (the HP) and the classmate laptop (the small one) I finally successfully compiled and downloaded the program to the robot, and we were able to control it with the driver station (classmate laptop).

One of the gearboxes worked, but the other didn’t although it sounded like the motor spun. As soon as we can get the network set up, the gearbox fixed, and the chain attached, we’ll be able to drive the robot around freely. Once we have the camera working, I might be able to get started on some of the programming such as the code for aiming for the target. I’m looking forward to getting our design finalized tomorrow.
